Janus Slicer 260 | 10"

The Janus Slicer with the slightly flexible 10.2 inch long blade made of a special steel, covered with a Diamond-Like-Carbon coating (DLC) is a filleting knife in a class of its own. The steel alloy of the blade contains the rare element niobium. Due to this high niobium content, the finest possible steel structure is achieved despite rust inertia, resulting in extremely high strength and cutting durability. In addition, the blade is coated with a few micrometers thick but extremely hard DLC coating. This elegant black carbon layer is insensitive to acids, high temperatures and extremely scratch-resistant. Great side effect: The blade slides more easily through the material to be cut, as the coating has very low coefficients of friction. The DLC coating, the hardness of approx. 60 HRC, the flat grinding and the narrow, slightly flexible blade make the slicer a truly perfect knife for filleting, parrying and cutting wafer-thin slices. The Janus Slicer comes in a high-quality matt black box with the Nesmuk Certificate of Authenticity.
