Nesmuk has developed its own innovative serrated edge for this range of tasks.
The Janus bread knife has a 10.6 inch long blade made of a special steel, covered with a Diamond-Like-Carbon coating (DLC) and is a special bread knife. Two differently shaped teeth ensure a comfortable cut through all types of bread. In addition, the double serrated edge has been designed to be gentle on the cutting surface and less scratching.
The steel alloy of the blade contains the rare element niobium. Due to this high niobium content, the finest possible steel structure is achieved despite rust inertia, resulting in extremely high strength and cutting durability. In addition, the blade is coated with a few micrometers thick but extremely hard DLC coating. This matt black carbon layer is insensitive to acids, high temperatures and extremely scratch-resistant. Great side effect: The blade slides more easily through the material to be cut, as the coating has very low coefficients of friction. With a hardness of approx. 60 HRC, the DLC coating, the flat grinding and the thin tip, the bread knife is more than well equipped tip for extremely precise cuts. All for preparation, preparation and decoration work are now a real pleasure. The Janus bread knife comes in a high-quality matt black box with the Nesmuk Certificate of Authenticity.
