The Nesmuk cutting boards are just as outstanding as the knives. For the cutting board, which are manufactured in a small factory in southern Germany, only oak forehead heartwood is used; Oak wood, because this wood is inherently more resistant to bacteria due to its high proportion of tannic acid. The Front wood cut of this board protects finely ground blades and the wood can even regenerate if well cared for.
The individual strips are selected by hand (an absolute novelty) and joined together by wood welding to form a characteristic yet symmetrical, harmonious pattern. The fine surface grinding and the final treatment with natural linseed oil and beeswax make the surface resistant and give the cutting bench a silky shine.
The cutting board is equipped with a 0.6 inch wide juice channel, which has only been incorporated on one long and one cross side. The smooth surface makes it easy to wipe off the material to be cut, for example directly onto a plate that fits easily into the extra-wide recessed grips. Screwed rubber feet on the underside ensure a perfect hold. This is why Nesmuk chopping boards are fixed and non-slip on almost any work surface.
